Blessing in disguised...

Photobucket
Or in Malay, ada hikmah tersembunyi.
One of my friends suddenly make up his mind to take charge of his life.. after several years live in state of denial.. at least thats how i interprete his life at that time.. its his calls to make that huge decision and accept the destiny. As a human being, only strong faith will ensure no derailment occured on track of life, leave it in God hands.. Insyaallah.. with GI (good intention) everything will slowly back to its place.

To My friend R; Live NEW life to the fullest and stop BANGAUING!!

When You Have Crossed The River.. Abandon Your Boat!

My best friend and collegue, Mike threw me an advise after i told him that i am having a severe headache for the past few week regards to my personal issues. One morning he came to my table and handing over a piece of paper... and mumbling that this sub-contractor refused to comply with site rules and regulations and want me to take immediate action.. as i open the paper which has been folded .. it was a photostat copy of a chapter 50 from the book title Get richer..Quicker!.. still confused..i just read paragraph by paragraph... the feelings is like i see the light at the end of the tunnel!.. i dont know why i cant just eliminate all unnesasary thing in my life.
"Things that is no longer useful, become a burden. They take up space. Physical space. Too often mental space. Usually, emotional space, too, if they worry you..."

I am caught up with this.. in this phase of my life..

"But having enabled you to cross the river, your boat is of no further use to you. No matter what your boat cost; no matter how valuable your boat was in crossing the river- your boat no longer is of use to you, but its a burden.... So when you have crossed the river, abandon your boat."

Now what i have to do ..is just to let them go and simplify my life.. Thanks Mike!!

Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now) Lyrics

How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you, ooh
You're the only one who really knew me at all

How can you just walk away from me,
when all I can do is watch you leave
Cos we've shared the laughter and the pain and even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now, cos there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Just take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against the odds and that's what I've got to face.

I wish I could just make you turn around,
turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you,
so many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now, well there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face
Just take a look at me now, cos there's just an empty space

But to wait for you, is all I can do and that's what I've got to face
Just take a look at me now, cos I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
It's a chance I've got to take.

Just take a look at me now.

P/S- In spite of all the pain, people are funny sometimes,
'Cause they just can't wait to get hurt again'

LOOK FOR GOOD THINGS!

One of my colleague send me this.. and i thought its good to share with all of you out there... Happy Reading!!

LOOK FOR GOOD THINGS!

Take a look at the HAPPIEST people you know
and you will notice something.
They haven't had the EASIEST lives!
Happy people have usually suffered and struggled MORE than most.
But in the process, they have learned to look for GOOD THINGS in life.

And have you noticed this ...
When we look for good things in situations - or people - we FIND them.
When we look for bad things, we FIND them.

So it's not changing your situation that makes you happier.
It's changing your THINKING!

If you go looking for faults in your job or your mother or your wife, you will find plenty.

Some people spend their life looking for faults - and then they tell you, "I'm just being REALISTIC!"
It is not realistic.
It is NEGATIVE!

Happy people continually ask themselves, "What is good about this situation?"

EXAMPLE:
You are stuck in traffic. You ask yourself, "What's GOOD about it?"
* You have time to listen to your favorite music.
* You can plan your day.
* It's better than walking!

EXAMPLE:
You are short of money. You ask, "What's GOOD about having no cash?"
* You learn to appreciate things that money can't buy.
* You become more determined to succeed.
* You find out who your friends are!

You might say, "That's nuts! It's kidding myself."
Not so!

Prepare for the future...

Brian Tracy is one of the world's leading authorities onpersonal and business success. Read his important insight onhow to prepare for the future:
'To position yourself for tomorrow, here is one of the mostimportant rules you will ever learn: 'The future belongs to thecompetent.' The future belongs to those men and women who arevery good at what they do. Pat Riley, in his book The WinnerWithin, wrote that, 'If you are not committed to getting betterat what you are doing, you are bound to get worse.' To phrase itanother way, anything less than a commitment to excellentperformance on your part is an unconscious acceptance ofmediocrity. It used to be that you needed to be excellent torise above the competition in your industry.
Today, you must be excellent even to keep your job in yourindustry. The marketplace is a stern taskmaster. Today, excellence, quality, and value are absolutely essential elementsof any product or service, and of the work of any person. Yourearning ability is largely determined by the perception ofexcellence, quality, and value that others have of you and whatyou do. The market only pays excellent rewards for excellentperformance. It pays average rewards for average performance, and it pays below average rewards or unemployment for belowaverage performance. Customers today want the very most and thevery best for the very least amount of money, and on the bestterms. Only the individuals and companies that provideabsolutely excellent products and services at absolutelyexcellent prices will survive. It's not personal. It's just theway our economy works.
To earn more, you must learn more. You are maxed out today atyour current level of knowledge and skill. However much you areearning at this moment is the maximum you can earn withoutlearning and practicing something new and different.
And here's the rub. Your accumulated knowledge and experienceis becoming obsolete bit by bit, day by day. The knowledge inyour field is doubling every three to five years. That meansthat your knowledge must double every three to five years justfor you to stay even.
The solution to the dilemma of unavoidable change andrestructuring is continuous self-development. Your personalknowledge and your ability to apply that knowledge are your mostvaluable assets. To stay on top of your world, you mustcontinually add to your knowledge and your ability. You mustcontinually build up your mental assets if you want to enjoy acontinuous return on your investment. And only by building onyour current assets do you stop them from deteriorating.
By engaging in continuous self-improvement, you can put yourselfbehind the wheel of your own life. By dedicating yourself toenhancing your earning ability, you will automatically beengaging in the continuous process of personal development. Bylearning more, you prepare yourself to earn more. You positionyourself for tomorrow by developing the knowledge and skillsthat you need to be a valuable and productive part of oureconomy, no matter which direction it goes.'
